Welcome to the first of our case studies. In this series, we’ll take a closer look at digital marketing stories from around the world. Some are from technology startups just like us; some are brick and mortar businesses and entrepreneurs finding their feet; and some, as you’ll see, are established marketing agencies.
But they all have one thing in common: They came to Adriel in search of a better way to generate leads and win business through online advertising.

A New Tool For Established Marketers?
The majority of our work is with small businesses that need help getting noticed online. One of the biggest challenges for any new business is building an effective digital presence, particularly when search engine results and social media platforms naturally favour incumbents.
But it’s not just small businesses owners that have to tackle these challenges. It’s also the digital marketing agencies they recruit to do it for them. And to be successful, digital marketing agencies have to to keep up with industry trends and stay one step ahead of their competition.
That’s why, for us, this case study is so interesting. We’ve been working closely with New York digital marketing agency Zen Media to streamline the online advertising efforts for one of their clients, New York City law firm Rothman & Kratt.
As you can imagine, there are thousands of attorneys across the state of New York - many of which are based in Manhattan just like Rothman & Kratt. It’s not easy to stand out. However, law is an industry in which individual firms have specialisms and therefore small subsets of people that might be interested in their services.
In the case of Rothman & Kratt, that specialism is relatively new: a sealing law passed by the state in 2017. It effectively means that state residents with a criminal record can, in some cases, apply for that record to be sealed.
For Rothman & Kratt, there were two main issues that their advertising campaigns needed to account for: Localisation - as their specialism isn’t US-wide but rather limited to the state of New York - and finding a way to cut through the noise, through the many similar firms that advertise legal services online in the area.
The firm’s digital marketing agency, Zen Media, came to us in search of a way to optimise their current efforts, which had included more than one year of paid adverts on Google and Facebook.
Results & Feedback
Zen Media ran a short test with Adriel, using our AI-powered platform to optimise their efforts and drive more traffic to Rothman & Kratt’s website. The results were compared with their previous paid campaigns.
Here’s what happened:
- Rothman & Kratt’s rate of signing up new clients went up by 348%.
- The firm’s sales increased.
- Zen Media relocated their digital marketing budget to Adriel.
A representative from Zen Media was delighted with the uptake in traffic, the accuracy of our targeting efforts and the boost in interest and new business for their client.
“WOW! I am beyond impressed.
“Ever since we ran the test our client’s website has been getting slammed! I have an app set up that rings like a doorbell every time a new visitor is on the site. It's still going crazy which I am over the moon about. It went from about 10 unique visits per day to now around 40. I don’t know what you guys did, but it’s working and it’s amazing. I can’t wait to get even more targeted with you.
All of the traffic sent was the correct target in the right regions. I have been running Facebook and Google ads for about a year. I worked with Google directly to set up the target perimeters, and in two weeks your platform managed to send more traffic to my client then working [with Google] directly.”
And then, possibly the biggest compliment we could ask for (as well as a rock solid proof of concept) came along:
“I am thrilled at how easy you have made it for clients to set up campaigns. I had to turn it off because it was doing so well and I didn’t want to go over budget.”
So what did we learn?
Well, we already knew that our platform and AI is capable of delivering incredible results. Now you do too.
But what we hadn’t anticipated was that our technology would be just as transformative for experienced marketers as it is for small businesses.
